Some people seem to have wondered if they can download royalty free images for commercial use as well here, so I added such permission explicitly to the license conditions. (Please remember that these are not copyright-free images, though, but you can download these photos free of charge – and yes, as well for commercial use).

… or autumn colours or fall colors or the other way around (this one seems to appear in great variety) – anyway here some abstract backgrounds in such colors/colours – download the high resolution images free of charge and do something with them.

You may download these stock photos as well for commercial use (I´d like to keep the restrictions as minimal as possible, after all that´s the idea behind royalty free, but if you somehow can, please do mention  or link to this site as the image source).

I will continue with the series of autumn pictures (though I know some of you are searching for other stock photos as well, I´ll take care of that step by step). Anyway, nature changed its mind again, it is rather sunny these days, and, quite unusual here, still some quite colorful fall foliage surprising the eye.

While rain and sun gave us all of these colorful autumn leaves, the first proper frost here killed them (well, sort of). Nice brownish tones everywhere now. And the cold morning sun is shining through the dead leaves:

This web site will be from now on (as the domain name says) about ROYALTY FREE IMAGES. The these days commonly used term “royalty free” refers to a rather broad range of stock image license models which all have in common that once the usage is paid for (normally when the picture is purchased) no additional fees apply. Each stock photo agency may have its own terms and conditions, which should be studied before purchasing an image, but generally, royalty free photos are priced simply by file size rather than usage. The utilization history of such a stock photograph is difficult to track, which can be a disadvantage if the image is supposed to be a key part of the design, like in commercial applications and advertisement, but if this is no issue, royalty free images deliver enormous freedom to designers, as they can be used as background textures, page elements and illustrations again and again (some restrictions may apply with some stock agencies), so creating your own collection or photo library over time can make your design business more efficient and hassle-free.

To start this web site, I will provide some FREE ROYALTY-FREE IMAGES. Download them and use them in your designs, blogs or wherever  (but please don´t re-sell or re-distribute the photos themselves) – don´t forget to link here or at least mention the source in exchange.
